Made in England, circa 1860. Measurements: Pendant is approximately 1 1/2 inches (3.75cm) long, including the loop. Earrings are approximately 1 1/2 inches (3.75cm) long, not including the wires.
Combined weight is 14.3 grams. Description : Flower-formed surmounts beneath small gold balls, in textured gold with a turquoise in the center. They are attached to the upper border of the round bodies of the pendant and earrings, all outlined by twisted wire goldwork. A broad gold central ring is adorned with ribbons of gold, folded over itself and embellished with more filigree.A minute braid of gold filigree forms the inner border surrounding a half globe of turquoise cabochons set in silver with a star at the apex and pearl at the very top. The combination of turquoise and bright gold is stunning. An exceptional set sure to attract compliments and suitable for every woman and every outfit.
Marks: As is to be expected of English jewelry of this period, there are no hallmarks. Gold was acid tested to ensure metal purity. Condition: Good with negligible wear commensurate with age and use.
