Large Antique Gold Victorian Bohemian Garnet 3 Tier Brooch

Vintage - Antique - New & Used Jewellery. This large unique antique Victorian Bohemian garnet brooch weighs 8.9g and has a diameter of 3.8cm with a depth of 1.1cm This is a very impressive three tier brooch and is set with to many garnets for me to count. It is in very good condition for its age. Some wear and scratching consistent with age and use. There are no markings on the brooch but it has been tested and tests as a low grade gold, often these were set in very low carat gold mixed with other alloys.

I would say this is a Austro Hungarian bohemian garnet brooch from around 1860s to 1880s. This beautiful brooch comes in a top quality new vintage styled presentation box.
