Antique Victorian WHITBY JET 17 Surface coated Necklace - 52.3 grams. Stunning unusual Surface coated necklace. The beads used for Whitby jet are similar to that of fossil coal. It that respect they are easy to carve, but also easily chip or break.

The stones on this necklace are surface coated to add strength and allow for a more elaborate look to the finished piece. The necklace measures 17 or 44cm. The weight is 52.3 grams.
