Links join the round surmounts to an openwork, scrolling, triangular mount that enclose the upper part of the main body of the earrings. These are faceted, round amethysts, also set in gold with little pearls in their center and surrounded by an outer border of small pearls. The fleur-de-lis-shaped gold prongs holding the amethysts are an integral part of the design as they form a strong contrast to the purple. The pearls in white making a perfect foil to the amethysts.
A fringe of 7 gold wires leading to small pearls at their tips, are connected via links, allowing each section of the fringe to swing and move independently of the others. Every section of the earrings can move, adding great visual interest. Simple gold wires are easy to insert and comfortable to wear.
