Measurements: Weight is 18.3 grams. Very difficult to measure exact inner diameter, which is approximately 6 1/2 - 7 inches (17.5cm). Fits my wrist (6 1/2inch) with lots of lefover space. Description : Rose gold bangle with hinge on one side and tongue-in-groove clasp on the opposite side. Upper surface with finely set band of Old European cut diamonds alternating with 5 stations of raised deep blue sapphires.
Diamonds are set in silver, which is typical of antique jewelry - diamonds were considered best shown off when mounted in silver. The layer of silver over gold dates the bangle firmly in the Victorian era. Sapphires are mounted in gold, which rises like cups or flowers above the level of the diamonds and holds the sapphires, which are like the petals of the flower.Sapphires are rectangular, emerald cuts.
